Many people are aware that cancer can rear its ugly head at anyone, anywhere, any time. Cancer has no limits, a person can be of either gender, of any race or age and it can still come into our lives. Now more than ever people have ties to places like The American Cancer Society, Cancer Research Institute, and AACR (American Association for Cancer Research). Many people worldwide are familiar with their favorite charities’, donate religiously for the battle to expand knowledge on cancer research now, but are you aware though of Hope on Wheels?
If you have ever had the chance to see a white Hyundai Santa Fe covered with handprints on it, even from a fart distance you can make out the shape of brightly colored child sized hands. Once you see this decor you know the auto you are looking at The Hope on Wheels Tour car.
The meaning behind each hand print is simple, its personal and nothing could be more personal for these children than sharing their own hand prints in support of the work that Hyundai is doing for them. During donation ceremonies children are asked to help lend their own hand in support of the mission behind the generosity shared by Hyundai and all supporters.
Hope on Wheels believes that raising the awareness level of childhood cancer is a must and firmly sticks with this while they also celebrate the lives of all children who are currently battling this horrible disease. This charity tours between children’s hospitals and will end up helping to donate funds available for the training and research purposes needed to carry on this mission.
This year they plan to visit over 40 hospitals nationwide and are looking at the current rate of more than $2 million dollars to help support the need for more training and more research for those involved this year alone. This is going to end up being the largest yearly donation in the entire organization history and it could not have come at a better time.
Did you know that for every single new Hyundai vehicle is sold in the U.S., Hyundai dealers donate $5 to the Hope on Wheels charity? When you think about some of the largest charities to date, every dollar really does count to win the massive battle for cancer.
Hope on Wheels is dedicated to spreading knowledge and support those who are battling cancer now, to further the research needed by so many. Celebrating their 12th year, Hyundai along with other U.S. dealers have been helping to win this battle over and this nonprofit organization is now recognized worldwide by all Hyundai enthusiasts.
Everyone is aware how very important the research is for cancer and being able to help raise the awareness needed for doctors, patients along with family and friends – this is what is truly important. Hope on Wheels is able to help provide this information, and since 1998 they have currently helped to donate more than $14 million dollars to keep the hope going strong.
