There are drivers of all ages worldwide that fully understand the importance of having a reliable vehicle in order to get from point A to point B. How many though; are thinking of how those car makers can lower the resources used in order to do so? At some point these resources that we so desperately rely on in our everyday lives, will one day run out. For now, many are putting their hard work to use in gathering ways that we can finally become fuel efficient without being wasteful.
What is it that makes the Most Fuel-Efficient Automaker in America? For Hyundai it took them a little over a year to achieve this goal and they took the world by storm. It came shocking as many people, both Hyundai fans and others were a little shocked when this hit the news last December.
In order to take this top spot a car manufacturer needs to be able to pass the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy report, and in order to do this and still take the lead they need to be able to do what most would in competition. The manual allows for 24MPG city and 35MPG highway compared to the standards of other models at a lower 22MPG city/35MPG highway. Taking these numbers and comparing them to any of their competition like a Toyota Camry or Ford Fusion and you can understand why Hyundai is at the top of the ranks. The research involved in the making of this model have been extreme, the fact that the car can still produce 200 horsepower along with saving on fuel costs is overall impressive to say the least.
Another key note is that the Sonata is the very first vehicle in its class with GDI technology. This is the tech (Gasoline Direct Injection) behind what helps to allow this car a quicker injection process of the gasoline into the chamber for all cylinders, which in the end results in the gasoline being pressurized quicker and allowing for quicker results of high power output but at no expensive to fuel efficiency. Instead it allows for control over the amount of fuel used and injection timings which equals less waste.
There is no other out there who has done what exactly as Hyundai, from topping the list of all top ten highest-volume manufacturers, they want still want to push forward in making a more fuel efficient and cost effective vehicle for customers. The level of commitment is almost surreal, doing as they said they would and now are looking to beat their own records.
